The truck was available with a diesel-powered 75 hp engine, the 500RE and petrol version 500B. The 500 model was the last conventional truck produced by Alfa Romeo. The 500 was used by Alfa Romeo Corse and the Scuderia Ferrari as a racing car transporter.
