Alfa Romeo Tubolare Zagato Le Mans

Atlas die cast model of the Alfa Romeo Tubolare Zagato that raced the 24 hours of Le Mans on 20th June 1964. Drivers Sala and Biscaldi finished 10th in the GT class. The car qualified 32nd in 4:31.1 (average speed 178 km/h). This is TZ chassis nr. 006 (AR10511 750006), built by Autodelta on 2 April 1964. Before Le Mans it raced the 1964 Targa Florio where it finished 3rd overall.  The photos on the right show the actual car at Le Mans in 1964. The car was entered by Scuderia Sant Ambroeus.
In 1965 the car was sold to Scuderia Brescia Corse who entered it for the 1000 km of Monza (DNF) and the 1969 Targa Florio (DNF). The car still exists and has been in restoration for 10 years. The car made its come back on the Le Mans track during the 2010 Classic Le Mans event.
